Background on John Moore III
Moore most recently served as Managing Partner at Chilmark Research, a highly regarded healthcare IT analyst firm, where he led market research efforts, advised healthcare technology vendors, and built relationships with C-suite executives across the industry. His 13-year tenure at Chilmark saw him drive thought leadership on population health, AI policy, real-world data, and healthcare workforce innovation, helping organizations navigate a rapidly shifting digital health environment. This work sharpened his ability to identify emerging trends early and translate them into actionable strategies—skills he now brings to Newfire’s clients as they seek to innovate and scale in complex markets.
Prior to Chilmark, Moore founded RxApps, a digital health startup focused on patient engagement and real-world data collection. Under his leadership, the company participated in top accelerator programs, including Rock Health and Startup Health, and successfully launched a pilot program for its innovative mental health tracking tool. This firsthand experience with the realities of building and scaling a startup informs Moore’s practical, empathetic approach to advising clients on go-to-market strategies and product development.
Beyond his work in healthcare IT, Moore is a strong advocate for the role of arts and play in adult society as a means of supporting mental well-being. Through his side project, Starborn Productions, he produces art and music events that foster creative expression, community, and acceptance.
